What is the AHIMA House of Delegates? The AHIMA House of Delegates is the national member voice of our profession, and is a a deliberative body made up of elected delegates from every state's Component Association (like HHIA) and the AHIMA Board of Directors, first established in 1946. Delegates serve as advocates for HIM professionals nationwide, helping shape the standards, policies, and strategic direction that keep our field strong and forward-thinking. It's one of the most meaningful ways a HIM professional can extend their impact beyond their own organization and into the future of the entire profession. Gloryanne Bryant has over 45 years of experience in HIM, coding, CDI, and compliance. Gloryanne is the past president and director of CHIA, having been an HIM volunteer on local, state and national levels and served on and led many CHIA, AHIMA, ACDIS, HFMA workgroups and committees. She served two years on the AHA Coding Clinic editorial advisory board and has helped write several AHIMA/ACDIS Query Practice Briefs. Gloryanne is a sought-after advisor, mentor, national educator, speaker, and author on clinical coding, compliance and ethics, reimbursement, CDI, physician querying, and coding regulations.
Over the past seven years, Gloryanne has been an expert witness and consultant for clinical coding, documentation, denials, charging, HCCs and MS-DRGs. Currently, she works part-time as an independent HIM coding and CDI compliance consultant.
